CONTINUING EDUCATION FUND (CEF)

What is CEF?

The Continuing Education Fund (CEF) subsidizes adults with learning aspirations to pursue continuing education and training courses. Eligible applicants will be reimbursed 80% of their fees, subject to a maximum sum of HK$10,000, on successful completion of one or more than one approved courses.


Which course is reimbursable?

The following Kaplan Financial's courses can be reimbursed by CEF at a maximum of 80% of the total course fee.



What should you do?

Eligibility

Application

rating_star.gif Enroll and pay for the course(s)
rating_star.gif Complete the CEF application form [Download SFAA192] with a HK ID card copy for certification
rating_star.gif You should submit CEF applications to Kaplan Financial as soon as you are enrolled, before these submission deadlines:
rating_star.gif If you miss the deadlines above, you can still apply for CEF at the CEF Office before the course begins but you will need us to certify on your CEF Application Form.

Official confirmation will be sent by CEF Office 12 working days after submission of application form.

It is your responsibility to make sure that you are eligible for the fund and the application is successful.


Completion of Course

To successfully complete the course and reimburse from CEF, you are required to meet the assessment requirement.  Basically, you have to obtain minimum of 80% attendance rate and obtain 50% score of the assessment*. Details requirements are differently set for each category of CEF reimbursable course, for details, please refer to the CEF administration information of specific training product.

Certificates on completion of the course will be issued to qualified students normally within one month after course completion. For detail information, please refer to the CEF administration information of specific training product.

*Applicants fail the assessment but pass in the actual examination, attendance certificate will be issued after receiving request with supporting documents from applicants.


Reimbursement

After the completion of the course, you should submit the following documents to the office of CEF (OCEF)

rating_star.gif Completed reimbursement claim form (SFAA 193/194) which certified by Kaplan Financial 
rating_star.gif Copies of Official Receipt
rating_star.gif Copies of Certificate of Completion
rating_star.gif Copy of the front page of the bank passbook/statement showing the name of the claimant and account number.

You should keep the original official receipt for reimbursement purpose. Kaplan Financial  will charge $20 for each re-issuance of receipt.
